George Saliaris-Fasseas, following a short stint at private equity and after forming driin, an internet investment firm, returned to Ogilvy in June 2010 as the executive director for the group.
Prior to driin, George was the country manager for Google in Greece where he set up the Athens office. Apart from boosting Google’s Greek revenues and number of advertisers, he recruited the team, assisted in acquiring more than 100 AdSense partners, signed up a reseller (www.icap.gr) to acquire the long-tail, wrote a book on AdWords to help educate the market and entered the Guinness book of Records among 1672 Googlers in Rhodes where they danced...Syrtaki. George holds a BSc in Management Sciences from Warwick University and an MSc (with distinction) in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems from the London School of Economics. |

Dimitris Kontarinis is currently the VP of Innovation at Velti (NASDAQ: VELT), the global leader in mobile marketing and advertising. He is responsible for developing and bootstrapping Velti’s new offering for the next two years. His current focus is on leading the build of 5ml (html5 project builder) and evangelizing it to increase adoption. Dimitrios has over 15 years of experience in innovation management (concept to market) including new business development, start up founding and management, venture capital, and product development. Dimitrios holds a B.Sc. degree with double major in Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics from Brown University with Magna Cum Laude distinction, and an M.S and Ph.D. degree in Engineering Sciences and Robotics from Harvard University. |

Antonis Markopoulos holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from
the National Technical University of Athens and a degree in Informatics and Telecommunications from the University of Athens. Antonis has rich academic experience in Research and Development projects and worked for many years in the private sector as well. He has participated in Integrated Information Systems Development and innovative Web Services Development projects. In addition, Antonis has roundly worked on European Support Framework procedures managing major works for the 3rd European Support Framework and the National Strategic Reference Framework, particularly in the ICT and Digital Planning Sector. He has more than 25 academic publications in international conferences, books and magazines regarding Next Generation Wireless Networks and Web Services. |

Spyros Timotheatos has more than 17 years total marketing experience, 11 in telecommunications and 6 in IT. He is currently the Head of Vodafone Internet Services, responsible for the Areas of Internet Access, Content, Messaging, Wholesale and Innovation. He has been working with Vodafone since 2000 in various Marketing managerial positions, including 1 year (2004) at Vodafone Group Marketing in Germany, where he was responsible for the Portfolio Management of all the Messaging Products (MMS, email, Instant Messenger, Network Address Book, Voice Mail, Push2Talk, etc). He has also worked for Compaq Computers as an E-Business Consultant (1999-2000) and for Intrasoft as a Product Manager (1995 - 1999) He holds a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Patras, an M.Sc. in Computing from the University of Bradford, UK and an MBA (Honors) from ALBA. |

Georgios Tziralis has received a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a specialty in Operations Research from NTUA. His PhD research focuses on prediction markets. He has also taught data mining at NTUA. Georgios has founded Askmarkets and Mineknowledge, two companies spun out of his academic research.
His community efforts are focused on Open Coffee meetings. Georgios is widely identified as the initiator of such meetings in Greece, having organized since June 2007 more than 40 meetings. Since 2009, he has co-founded and serves as the Executive Director of the Openfund, a seed investment vehicle with a portfolio of 8 companies from 5 countries so far. |
